I have to say I’ve been amazed immediatly when I saw the first screenshot of AYIM; and even more when I tested this prototype.

“And Yet It Moves“ is a gameconcept  and basically a mixture between a jump and run and a puzzle game, with the extra ability to rotate the world. The player can run left, right and jump, but can also turn the world clockwise and counterclockwise by 90 degrees. When this happens physics works the following way: as soon as rotation starts all objects get frozen and after rotation objects continue to move with their velocities (direction and speed) they had before. With this ability you can move objects and yourself but also need to keep orientation and watch out for dangerous situations. Don’t worry though, you’re made out of paper so you can die as often as you want to.

The overall goal is to get through this collage of ripped paper as quickly as possible.

The final version has no release date set yet, but I looked forward.

Mightier is an independent puzzle action game developed by Lucas Pope and Keiko Ishizaka as an experiment. Play as the Engineer and the Actionaut to solve puzzles and collect items in each sector.

This action puzzle game pulls you away from your computer to solve puzzles by hand with pencil and paper.

Using a printer and webcam, the game prints puzzle pages for you to draw on, then captures the results when you’re done.

From your drawings, Mightier constructs a landscape and characters for a fun and engaging 3d platformer.

Drawing by hand is a lot more fun, but hopefuly the game also supports mouse drawing for those without a printer, webcam, or spare paper.

Dyson is a real-time strategy game about self-replicating mining machines in an asteroid belt. You must ensure your survival by colonising the asteroids close to you in the belt, and eradicating the other mining machine types that have the same goal.

The mining machines, or seedlings, can band together to create structures called Dyson Trees, which then manufacture more seedlings. They can also build defence trees to protect asteroids.

The game’s abstract, procedurally-generated visuals and ambient soundscapes lend it a relaxing atmosphere that belies its eventually frantic gameplay. As seedling numbers increase, gigantic armies of 400 or more seedlings can be fighting for control of important asteroids.

Independent and free game, Gravity Bone by Blendo Games is that kind of first person games who tries to go beyond the primary FPS principle . Here, you play a secret agent who must perform its tasks without  weapons by getting gadgets & items on the ground. An approach that allows the player to push the levels exploration  to its maximum.

A very surprising and effective style , especially since the game uses the Quake 2 engine.
