Crayon Physics for iPhone and iPod Touch

A fresh news as it seems that Hudson Entertainment will be bringing the Independent Games Festival Grand Prize-winning Crayon Physics to the iPhone and iPod Touch early January. You’ll have to check your itunes application store…

Designer Petri Purho developed the iPhone port of Crayon Physics in concurrence with the yet-to-be-released PC version, Crayon Physics Deluxe, which so far has only been released to the public as a playable demo (Available in a previous preview)

Crayon Physics challenges players to draw gravity-weighted lines and shapes in order to solve a variety of physics-based puzzles.

Meeblings is a fun new action puzzle game.

If this game makes you think “Lemmings” then you’re right; but Meeblings is a bit different. The objective is to get the target number of little Meeblings to any of the “Way Out” signs present in the level. Some levels have one “way out”, others have more.

To make things more interesting, and to help you accomplish your task, you’ll learn to activate the special powers of any Meeblings available. There are Herelings that attract other Meeblings; Therelings that push other Meeblings away; and Sizzlings that burn holes in things. And that’s not all. You’ll meet Gravlings, Treeblings, Zaplings, and Feeblings, which can’t do anything at all.

Use the physical properties of each type of Meebling to your best advantage and guide as many Meeblings as you can to their goal. There are 50 levels available in the game

Bontago is an intense single or multiplayer 3d real-time strategy game.

Players begin with flags (one color for each player) spaced evenly around the edge of a large disk, called the field, balanced on a fulcrum in the center. Around each flag is a circle representing that player’s controlled area. Every few seconds a block appears on each player’s cursor. The players must place the blocks somewhere in their controlled areas. Players can place the block at any moment in the allotted time, or can hold it until time is up and the block will fall on its own and be replaced by the next block.

Bontãgo is the first student game to participate and win an award at the professional level of the International Games Festival, surpassing over 100 entrants to win Innovation in Game Design.

Bontago is an excellent RTS / Puzzle game, both on the scenario and the gameplay. An atmospheric game with a multiplayer mode especially effective and the famous “sandbox”. Tri-achnid is an experimental flash game that focuses on the bond between the player and the creature you control.

In Tri-achnid you take control over an endangered species of three-legged spider known as a Tri-achnid. Having total control over the creature’s body, the player must lift and drag each of the spiders limbs to, climb, spin web, attack and care for its egg sack.

Plain Sight is a multiplayer arcade action title that features robots bouncing about a planetoid, killing each other in order to grow larger, get stronger, and most importantly - change color. Beatnik is now looking for players to participate in the beta for the title, due to kick off sometime before Christmas and continuing into January, leading up to the game’s 2009 release.

Armadillo Run is a physics-based puzzle game. You have to build structures with the purpose of getting an armadillo to a certain point in space. There is a selection of building materials, each with different properties, which can be combined to form almost anything. The realistic physics simulation gives you the freedom to solve each level in many different ways.
